About me

I research the space where emerging technologies, education, and visual culture meet.

I am an Italian researcher exploring the intersection of emerging technologies and visual media, with a specific focus on creating digital assets that serve as innovative educational tools.

I am currently specializing in 3D photogrammetry. My Master's project in Digital Humanities at UAB focuses on creating high-fidelity 3D models of Catalan festive heritage to preserve cultural identity and expand its accessibility.

My methodology bridges academic research with modern educational paradigms, such as gamification, transforming complex cultural data into interactive experiences that engage diverse audiences.

3D Digitalization: Roman Amphora

A high-fidelity digital asset created through photogrammetric documentation, preserving a physical artifact while expanding its educational and research accessibility.

Photogrammetry / Digital Heritage

This digitization project was developed as part of the Master's Degree in Digital Humanities at the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (UAB). The primary goal was to apply digital photogrammetry techniques for the documentation and virtual preservation of cultural heritage.

The project demonstrates how Digital Humanities can bridge traditional archaeology and technological innovation, supporting preventive conservation, virtual restoration, and public access.

Software Stack

Adobe Lightroom: RAW processing and consistent development of the photographic dataset.

Agisoft Metashape: Photogrammetric processing, point cloud generation, and 3D mesh reconstruction.

Blender: Mesh cleanup, polygon optimization, and preparation for final rendering.

Sketchfab: Interactive 3D asset management and publishing.

Visual & Digital Storytelling: Piedra Viva

An interactive infographic that turns archaeological conservation into an explorable educational experience, built through layered information and non-linear storytelling.

Interactive Education / UX

The infographic synthesizes archaeology, urban history, and contemporary planning through dynamic information hierarchy. The user becomes an active explorer rather than a passive recipient.

Genially was used to implement progressive disclosure through pop-ups, hover elements, and animated transitions, keeping technical and bibliographic complexity behind an intuitive interface.

Free ExplorationDiscovery through hidden interactive triggers.

Progressive DisclosureContent revealed only when the user interacts.

Non-linear StorytellingLearning paths built through curiosity and choice.

Interactive Book: El boc de Can Vernet

A capstone interactive book that transforms Catalan festive heritage into a slow, immersive educational experience for junior citizens aged 8-12.

Interactive Book / Heritage Mediation

Developed as a capstone project for the Master's in Digital Humanities at the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (UAB), this digital interactive book focuses on the Boc de Can Vernet, a traditional fire-breathing beast from the Colla de Diables de Sant Cugat.

Rejecting shallow commercial gamification, the application embraces the principles of Ungamification and Slow Play. Its goal is to empower junior citizenship by bridging historical memory and digital native behaviors through curated interactive storytelling.

3D IntegrationA Sketchfab photogrammetry model embedded through customized WebGL iframe configurations.

AI Asset PipelineGenerated illustration assets refined through native blending modes inside the web platform.

Kids UX/UILinear advance buttons, a discrete back arrow, and predictable navigation for ages 8-12.

Interaction follows a behavioral scaffolding model based on a three-term contingency: antecedent, response, and consequence. The user moves through onboarding, visual identification, civic safety simulation, semantic 3D hotspot exploration, and a final validation quiz.

The project is designed as a scalable model for modern heritage mediation, from classroom deployment and museum kiosks to community workshops before L'Encabronada, Sant Cugat's major fire festival.

Project Caleidoscopio

A social innovation project for the Bagnoli district, translating community networks into accessible visual systems and territorial storytelling tools.

Social Mapping / Visual Identity

Caleidoscopio tackles early school leaving through the co-creation of the Educational Community Pact, activating public and private spaces as an open educational ecosystem.

Within the research group coordinated by Ogep3, my contribution focused on institutional mapping, database research, and the visual identity of organizations represented in the digital platform.

The final impact is a social mapping tool that geolocates services and makes the connections inside the educational community easier to read, navigate, and share.
